The train service to Liverpool and Manchester is excellent and it is only two hours by direct train to London. There are also trains along the North Wales coast going to Holyhead in Anglesey, where it is possible to take a ferry to Dublin. You may need a visa! Other very interesting and beautiful places can be discovered after a short train journey. Shrewsbury, Port Sunlight and coastal Llandudno are popular choices.
